Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Lumi Dessert ("Lumi", "we", "us") collects when you use lumi-dessert.netlify.app, place an order, join our email list, or receive text messages from us, and how we use it.

Information we collect

Order details: your name, phone number, email address (optional), delivery address, delivery or pickup date and time, and any order notes.
Payment details: card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own secure page. We never see or store your full card number.
Email list: if you join our list, your email address.
Text message consent: whether you agreed to receive order text messages, and when.

How we use it

To prepare, deliver, and support your order, including contacting you about it.
To calculate the delivery fee: your delivery address is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoding service and the OpenStreetMap-based OSRM routing service to measure driving distance.
To send order text messages if you opted in (see below).
To send email newsletters if you joined our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Service providers

We share information only with the providers that help us run the shop, and only as needed for them to do so: Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messages), Brevo (email list), Netlify (website hosting), and the U.S. Census Bureau and OSRM (address distance lookup). We do not share your personal information with anyone else for their own marketing.

Text messaging (SMS) privacy

If you check the text message consent boxes when ordering, we use your mobile number to send order confirmations and pickup/delivery updates (order notifications box) and/or promotional messages about new flavors, market dates, and special offers (promotional texts box). No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the messaging provider (Twilio) that delivers our messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed to run the business and meet tax and accounting requirements. Email list and text opt-in records are kept until you unsubscribe or opt out.

Your choices and California privacy rights

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of emails and texts at any time. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will not treat you differently for using them. To make a request, contact us below.

Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
